في إطار التزامها المستمر بدعم جهود التنمية المستدامة وضمن انشطة ادارة المسئولية المجتمعية، استضافت شركة خدمات البترول الجوية مراسم توقيع بروتوكول التعاون لتنفيذ مشروع “الواحات الخضراء” بمحافظة الوادي الجديد، والذي يهدف إلى زراعة 35 فدانًا من القمح ضمن أحد المبادرات الطموحة لتعزيز الأمن الغذائي والتوسع الزراعي في المناطق الصحراوية.
وخلال كلمته، عبّر اللواء إيهاب عبد المقصود، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب للشركة، عن خالص شكره وتقديره للسيد اللواء محمد الزملوط، محافظ الوادي الجديد، على دعمه وتشريفه لهذا الحدث، مشيدًا بالتعاون المثمر بين المحافظة والمركز العربي لدراسات المناطق الجافة والأراضي القاحلة (أكساد) التابع لجامعة الدول العربية، وبدعم من الهيئة المصرية العامة للبترول، وتحت رعاية معالي المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، وبمشاركة فعالة من شركات قطاع البترول.

وأكد عبد المقصود أن مشروع “الواحات الخضراء” يُجسد رؤية الشركة في تنفيذ مشروعات مجتمعية ذات بُعد تنموي، تركز على استصلاح الأراضي الصحراوية، ودعم الأسر المعيلة، وتوفير فرص العمل للشباب، بما يسهم في زيادة الرقعة الخضراء وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي.
من جانبه، أشاد السيد اللواء محمد الزملوط بالدور الحيوي الذي تقوم به شركة خدمات البترول الجوية في دعم محافظة الوادي الجديد، مشيرًا بشكل خاص إلى جهودها في تشغيل خط جوي منتظم يربط المحافظة بالعاصمة، مما ساهم في تسهيل حركة الاستثمار والخدمات، وربط المجتمع المحلي بمحيطه الاقتصادي. كما نوّه إلى أن بروتوكول “الواحات الخضراء” يشكل نواة واعدة لمشروعات زراعية أكبر في المستقبل، موجّهًا الشكر لجميع الشركات المشاركة في المبادرة، ومعربًا عن تقديره للدور القيادي لوزارة البترول في دعم التنمية الشاملة بالمحافظة.
وفي ختام كلمته، جدّد اللواء عبد المقصود التزام شركة خدمات البترول الجوية الكامل بإنجاح هذا المشروع، والعمل جنبًا إلى جنب مع جميع الشركاء لتحقيق نتائج مستدامة تُسهم في خدمة أبناء المحافظة وتعزيز نهضة مصر الزراعية والتنموية.

PAS hosts signing ceremony of “Green Oasis” project protocol to promote agricultural development in New Valley Governorate
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting sustainable development efforts, Petroleum Air Services (PAS) hosted the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol to implement the “Green Oasis” project in New Valley Governorate. The initiative aims to cultivate 35 feddans of wheat, forming part of a broader effort to enhance food security and expand agricultural activity in desert areas.
During his speech, Major General Ihab Abdel Maqsoud, Chairman and Managing Director of PAS, expressed his sincere appreciation to Major General Mohamed El-Zamlout, Governor of New Valley, for his support and honored presence at the event. He praised the fruitful cooperation between the Governorate and the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) — affiliated with the League of Arab States — with support from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. Several petroleum sector companies are actively participating in the initiative, including:

• Marina Petroleum Company
Abdel Maqsoud emphasized that the “Green Oasis” project reflects the company’s vision for implementing community development initiatives that focus on reclaiming desert lands, supporting underprivileged families, and creating real job opportunities for young graduates — all contributing to increasing green space and enhancing national food security.
For his part, Governor Mohamed El-Zamlout commended PAS’s vital role in supporting the governorate, especially its operation of a regular flights connecting the remote region to the capital. This service has significantly facilitated investment and services, helping to integrate the local community into the broader economic landscape. He also described the “Green Oasis” protocol as a promising foundation for larger agricultural projects in the future, extending his appreciation to all participating companies and praising the Ministry of Petroleum’s leadership in supporting comprehensive development across the governorate.
In closing, Major General Abdel Maqsoud reaffirmed PAS’s full commitment to the success of the project, pledging to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to achieve tangible and sustainable outcomes that benefit the people of New Valley and contribute to Egypt’s agricultural and developmental renaissance.
